From day one we’re told to think big.
We’re told a big idea is the best idea. A big idea can communicate anything to everyone. A big idea has the power to last for years.
Because of this we spend so much time pursuing one idea, we discard all the other smaller ideas.
A big idea forces us to talk to everyone. Populism in it’s very nature means we discard one side of the community / arguement / fence. By thinking longterm, we become stagnant short-term, and by making all comms similar you become exactly that, the same.
— Thinking big is singular.
— Thinking big is short-lived.
— Thinking big is restrictive.
But what if you stood for a million small ideas, not one big idea?
— How differently would you see?
— How liberated would you feel?
— How independently would you speak?
— How collaboratively would you share?
— How creatively would you be perceived?
— How many doors would you open?
Eclecticism, diversity, and difference are what cultivates a great internal culture and projects externally a progressive forward-thinking business.
